ESSENTIAL |   FIFTEEN Fifteen Mentors If you have a heart for young people, and a desire to impact a young person's life, then being a mentor with Fifteen is the perfect opportunity for you to do just that. Being a mentor is simple. You will be matched with a student of your same gender who shares some similar interests, and simply build a relationship with that person. The purpose of being a mentor is to be a positive role model for students, to be a source of support and encouragement and to display how to build a healthy relationship. What better way to volunteer your time, than spending it pouring into a young person's life? Being a mentor is a minimum one-year commitment, where you simply spend an hour a week, or four hours a month, with your student. How you spend time with your student is up to you. You can go to the park, play basketball, or attend an E2L sponsored activity. This is a great opportunity for you to invest in your community, gain service hours, and most importantly, change a young person's life!
